Hey, hi, and hello!

I’m Maddy, designer and owner of Chapman Creative Studio! I specialize in editorial design for fraternity and sorority organizations.

Fraternity and sorority life has been part of my world for a long time. I’m a member of Gamma Phi Beta and spent more than a decade working on staff for a fraternal organization, so I understand firsthand both the challenges and the really rewarding parts of communicating with members. That experience shapes the way I approach my work today. I understand the organizations, the people behind them and what it takes to create something that feels true to their brand and meaningful to their members.

Over the last seven years, I’ve partnered with Alpha Phi, FarmHouse, Gamma Phi Beta, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Chi and Zeta Tau Alpha to design more than 50 magazine issues. My work has been recognized with more than 15 Fraternity Communications Association awards, including the 2026 Fred F. Yoder Award for Magazine Excellence, FCA’s highest publication honor.

Editorial design is really where I found my niche. I love taking a collection of stories, photos and ideas and turning them into a magazine that feels cohesive, engaging and true to the organization behind it. I also create custom illustrations, branding and supporting creative pieces when a project calls for something a little different.

More than anything, I love the partnership side of what I do. My clients work directly with me, and I get to know their brand, their audience and the stories they want to tell. I want to feel like an extension of your team, not just the designer you send files to.

When I’m not designing, you can usually find me spending time with my family, trying a new recipe or watching entirely too much Dateline.
